Cthulhu for America Campaign Criticizes Democratic Party’s Misuse of “WEIRD”

The Clown World Establishment's "WEIRD" Projection Annoys Cultists Worldwide

KINGSPORT (August 1, 2024) — The Cthulhu for President campaign has condemned the Democratic Party and their tech and media allies for grossly misusing the term “WEIRD.” Asserting its position as the original weird political campaign, Cthulhu for America emphasizes that such branding is inherently theirs and attaching that appellation to the unsurprisingly bland Trump team as an insult.

In a recent statement, Cthulhu for America pointed out that the Democratic Party, which prides itself on its identity politics, is quick to steal what isn’t theirs, including the moniker “WEIRD.”

Campaign spokesman, Ichabod Marsh, stated, “For a political services corporation deeply wedded to identity politics, it is hypocritical for the Democrats to steal what isn’t theirs. ‘WEIRD’ has been our identity, unabashedly so, representing our commitment to a radically different approach to politics.” The campaign argues this tactic is a classic case of psychological projection, a tactic famously employed by George W. Bush’s strategist Karl Rove.

Dr. Asmodeo Ruiz, head of the psychology department at Miskatonic State University, explained, “Psychological projection is the act of defending oneself against unpleasant impulses by denying their existence in oneself, while attributing them to others. This technique was notably used in the 2000s by Karl Rove to neutralize criticisms against George W. Bush. In this case, Kamala Harris’s coalition appears aware of its deviation from human normalcy, and we see a coordinated effort to label conservatives, who are historically quite conventional, as ‘weird.'”

The Cthulhu for President campaign emphasizes that it has always been proudly “weird” and will continue to embrace its otherworldly platform and devoted cultists from all walks of life. The campaign’s unique approach stands in stark contrast to the establishment’s predictable tactics.

“While the Democrats attempt to rebrand our distinctiveness as a pejorative, our supporters know that ‘WEIRD’ signifies a bold departure from the ineffective status quo,” added Marsh. “Cthulhu’s campaign is about embracing the unknown and leading America into a new era of unprecedented change.”

The Cthulhu for America campaign calls on the public to recognize this appropriation and to hold the Democrats, Big Tech and Big Media accountable for their lack of originality and integrity in political discourse.
